Daniels' 28-yard screen TD to Tre Wisner puts FSU up 21-14 on No. 3 Miami
After Ashlynd Barker's end-zone interception and a fourth-down stop, FSU went 58 yards in four plays. Daniels hit Wisner on a 28-yard screen for its first lead of the night.

Florida State took its first lead of the night at No. 3 Miami when Ashton Daniels threw a 28-yard screen pass to Quintrevion "Tre" Wisner for a touchdown with 4:09 left in the third quarter, per ESPN. Gabe Panikowski's extra point made it FSU 21, Miami 14.
As of 9:44 PM ET Saturday: FSU 21, Miami 14, 1:36 - 3rd Quarter. In progress; we will post the final.
The scoring drive
FSU took over at its own 42 after Miami's turnover on downs and scored in four plays, going 58 yards in 1:36, according to ESPN:
- Daniels to Wisner, 2 yards, to the FSU 44.
- On second-and-8, Daniels went deep right to Jayvan Boggs for 26 yards to the Miami 30. Dustin Lewis of NoleGameday/On SI called it a throw "into a tight window."
- Wisner ran left for 2 yards to the 28.
- On second-and-8, Daniels hit Wisner on the screen. ESPN marks the catch behind the line at the Miami 31, and Wisner took it 28 yards for the score.
Lewis wrote that FSU "confuses Miami's defense with play-action" before the screen. Bob Ferrante posted: "Mike Norvell loves screens. The screen game (absent one early drop) is on point tonight."
How the third quarter turned
Barker's interception. Miami opened the second half with a nine-play drive to the FSU 28. Then Ashlynd Barker intercepted D. Mensah in the end zone for a touchback with 10:47 left in the quarter, per ESPN. FSUFootball called it Barker's fourth career interception. Wisner started the next drive with a 16-yard run, but FSU punted from its 38 four plays later.
The stop on fourth down. Starting at its own 8, Miami got back-to-back runs of 25 and 17 yards from J. Mallory and drove to the FSU 42. On fourth-and-2, Mensah's pass to Mallory fell incomplete, and FSU took over on downs with 5:45 left, per ESPN. Tomahawk Nation reported that Miami "goes for it on 4th-and-2 but comes up short." Four plays later, FSU had the lead. Lewis put it this way: "The Seminoles flip Miami's turnover on downs into a touchdown."
Wisner with Kromah out. With Ousmane Kromah out after a first-half injury that Noles247 and Warchant reported was to his left ankle (our story), Wisner has been FSU's back in the third quarter. ESPN's play-by-play shows him with runs of 16, 2 and 2 yards, plus two catches for 30 yards and the touchdown in the quarter.
Injuries on defense. Linebacker Omar Graham Jr. went to the locker room earlier in the quarter, Warchant reported (our story). Defensive back Nehemiah Chandler was listed as injured on Mallory's 25-yard run, per ESPN. On Miami's next possession, Lewis reported that Chandler was down holding his right leg ("Might just be a cramp") and was then assisted to the sideline. FSU has not given an update on either player.
The game was tied 14-14 at halftime (our story). Follow along on our live blog.
