Norvell apologizes, says 'none of us were good enough' at Louisville as Miami looms
Mike Norvell opened Miami week with an apology for his postgame language and a blunt review of how FSU let Louisville flip the game.

Mike Norvell started his Monday press conference with an apology. "I had some words that I'd definitely like to have back," he said of his postgame remarks after Friday's 44-20 loss at Louisville, per Tomahawk Nation.
Where it turned
Florida State led 14-0, then failed on four snaps inside the red zone. Louisville answered with Isaac Brown's 97-yard touchdown and outscored FSU 44-6 the rest of the way. Norvell called that sequence "a gut punch" and said, "None of us were good enough when it came to what was needed," Tomahawk Nation reported. He added that the problem is "not a motivational issue" but handling emotional swings.
On his job status
Asked about conversations with FSU's administration, Norvell said leadership is "fully aware of the things that we're doing" and that "nobody was happy with Friday night," according to FSU's official transcript. He told reporters that defending himself against outside noise isn't productive, Warchant reported.
The next test
Florida State (3-3, 1-2 ACC) visits No. 3 Miami (5-0, 3-0) at 7 p.m. Saturday at Hard Rock Stadium. The Hurricanes opened as 21.5-point favorites, per Tomahawk Nation.
