Ousmane Kromah's family says FSU running back needs surgery for foot and ankle injury
Facebook posts from Kromah's family, shared by Noles247's Kolby Crawford, say the bones connecting his foot and ankle are dislocated and fractured and need surgery. FSU has not confirmed the injury or any timeline.

FSU running back Ousmane Kromah needs surgery on the foot and ankle injury he suffered in Saturday's 43-35 double-overtime loss at No. 3 Miami, according to Facebook posts from his family. Noles247/247Sports staffer Kolby Crawford shared the posts Sunday morning. FSU has not confirmed the injury or given any timeline.
What the family posted
In a Facebook status update from Kadiatou Fofana Kromah, shared by Crawford as an update "from his family," the family wrote: "The bones connecting the foot and ankle are dislocated and fractured. To fix them, the doctors have to perform surgery and use metal plates and screws to hold the broken bones together until they heal. The hardware is temporary and will be removed once the bones have healed."
In a later post, she wrote: "I just spoke with Ous, and he sounds good and is doing fine. I'll give everyone an update once I get back to the hospital and have more information."
The posts did not say when the surgery would happen.
What FSU has said
FSU has not confirmed the injury or the surgery and has not announced any timeline for Kromah. We'll report any update from FSU or his family.
How it happened
Kromah went down after a 9-yard run to the Miami 2 with 1:53 left in the first half, per ESPN's play-by-play. At the time, Noles247 reported a left ankle injury and said he appeared to be getting an air cast on the field, with a cart coming (our earlier story).
FSU went on to lose 43-35 in double overtime (recap).
