One of Florida State's 2027 running back commits had the biggest night of anyone in the class Friday, and an ACC rival is taking a shot at the Seminoles' class this weekend.

Jayden Miles: six touchdowns

Four-star running back Jayden Miles ran for 205 yards and six touchdowns on 10 carries as Catholic (Baton Rouge, La.) beat Zachary 70-38, The Advocate's Jackson Reyes reported. WBRZ also reported the six scores, and Rivals lists Miles as a four-star FSU commit. Catholic (4-3) has won three straight, and Miles also scored seven touchdowns against Zachary as a sophomore, according to The Advocate. The 6-foot-2, 203-pound senior committed to FSU on June 8. Florida State was his first offer, in May 2024, The Advocate reported. Catholic plays Central next, per WBRZ.

Report: Virginia Tech hosting an FSU commit

Virginia Tech is hosting at least one Florida State commit for Saturday's game against Georgia Tech, 247Sports reported. Rivals' Steve Wiltfong also listed an FSU flip pursuit among the Hokies' weekend targets. Neither outlet named the player publicly, and neither FSU nor the recruit has commented.
