FSU running back Ousmane Kromah will miss the rest of the 2026 season with the foot and ankle injury he suffered in Saturday's 43-35 double-overtime loss at No. 3 Miami, CBS Sports' Matt Zenitz [reported](https://x.com/mzenitz/status/2111853539815547163?ref=nolestandard.ghost.io) Sunday, citing sources. **FSU has not officially confirmed the report.**

Zenitz called it a "brutal blow for FSU and Kromah," who ranked third in the ACC with 609 rushing yards. He [added](https://x.com/mzenitz/status/2111855689488601119?ref=nolestandard.ghost.io) that Kromah had 80 or more rushing yards in six of FSU's first seven games and topped 100 scrimmage yards in four of them.

## The injury

Kromah went down after a 9-yard run to the Miami 2 with 1:53 left in the first half, and Noles247 reported he appeared to be getting an air cast on the field, with a cart coming ([our earlier story](https://nolestandard.ghost.io/ousmane-kromah-injured-miami-left-ankle/)). On Sunday morning, Facebook posts from his family said the injury needs surgery ([our story on the family's update](https://nolestandard.ghost.io/ousmane-kromah-family-surgery-foot-ankle-injury/)). The posts did not say when the surgery would happen, and FSU has not commented on it.

## The running back room

Liam Rooney [noted](https://x.com/%5F%5Fliamrooney/status/2111857896354893832?ref=nolestandard.ghost.io) that it's another blow to an FSU running back room that's already without Sam Singleton.

## What's next

FSU is 3-4 (1-3 ACC) and plays Clemson next, on Oct. 31\. We'll report any update from FSU.
