Ashton Daniels after 2OT loss at Miami: FSU can 'play with anyone' but 'can't finish'
Ashton Daniels threw for 298 yards and four TDs and ran for another in FSU's 43-35 2OT loss at No. 3 Miami, then said the Seminoles "can't finish."
Ashton Daniels' takeaway from Florida State's 43-35 double-overtime loss at No. 3 Miami was blunt. FSU can "play with anyone in the country, but can't get the job done," he said, adding that the Seminoles "can't finish," per Noles247's John Evans.
On the final play, Daniels' pass into the end zone was ruled intercepted by Miami's Bryce Fitzgerald, and the call was upheld on review, per ESPN's play-by-play. "I personally thought it was a touchdown," Daniels said, per Warchant.

- Ashton Daniels: 15 of 28 for 298 yards and four touchdowns, tying his career high. He also ran for 31 yards and a touchdown. His 11th rushing touchdown of the season ties the most by an FSU player through the first seven games of a season since 1995.
- Duce Robinson: five catches for 113 yards and two touchdowns, his second 100-yard game of the season. His seventh career 100-yard receiving game moves him into a tie for ninth in program history.
- Quintrevion Wisner: season-high 63 rushing yards on nine carries, plus a season-high four catches for 56 yards and a touchdown.
- Ashlynd Barker: team-high 13 tackles, two pass breakups and an interception.
FSU fell to 3-4, 1-3 ACC. The Seminoles have an open date before hosting Clemson on Saturday, Oct. 31, at Doak Campbell Stadium, per seminoles.com.
